General ‘Stepper’ Information and Rules of Participation

There are no requirements as to how many steps (approximately 1,765) or rows (33) “must” to be completed. Steppers can complete as few or as many rows as they want.  Steppers are allowed to step off the course at any time – to rest or wait for other steppers before returning to the course and resume stepping. Everyone will be stepping at their own pace – please be courteous, pass only on the left and alert the person in front of you that you are about to pass them much as you would while biking, jogging or skiing.

There will be signage and Step Up Volunteers stationed throughout Dick’s Sporting Goods Park offering directions and instructions during the event and medical personnel stationed at marked and signed locations along the course as well as at the permanent medical locations in the Park.

By request of the management of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park no steppers will be allowed onto the playing field. There is a Stairless course circling the field on the running track that will be utilized by the Stairless Course participants.
